Okay so here’s why Phyno does not want to be called a Gangsta. Few months ago, a photo of him went viral, a photo which showed Phyno kissing Kcee and because of that, he had to defend himself stating that he can’t do such thing.Now, the rapper while speaking to Nigerian Tribune has come out to say that people shouldn’t call him a gangsta and gay because he is infact, too cool for that.He said:“The only thing that was in my head when I saw the picture was where did this happen. I said back then that a gangstar like me could not have been involved in something like that.The fact is that, I am not a gangstar and I don’t want people to see me in that light. I think I am too serious and cool for that kind of thing.  People say I am gay. That’s laughable because these same people reported some time ago that I impregnated a girl. So you can see that these things don’t work together. My life is all about entertainment, as long as the people are happy about what they read, I am happy too”.

Big Sean Details New Album "Dark Sky Paradise"; Plans To Start His Own Label

Big Sean discussed several concepts regarding his upcoming album in a new Complex Magazine cover story published today (January 26).

Within the story, which is titled "Fresh Perspective", Sean says that his forthcoming third album is his most personal yet, but he admits that he’s still trying to find his sound.

“’I feel like there is a sound," Sean says. "Key Wane is instrumental to that. You know, those songs like ‘Higher’ off the Detroit mixtape, or ‘Nothing Is Stopping You’ or ‘4th Quarter.’”

The Detroit, Michigan rapper announced the album's title, Dark Sky Paradise, via social media Sunday.

The G.O.O.D. music rapper also told Complex that if all goes according to plan, he'll start his own label. He’s already signed Key Wane to his publishing company, Sean Michael Anderson Music, and is currently scoping new talent.

"Seeing how you can help people by being around and inspiring, I wanna do that," Sean says. ‘I’m actively looking for artists and people I believe in and giving them opportunity.’”

The “IDFWU” artist says that although "Control" became a viral sensation due to Kendrick Lamar's verse, it didn't make the album because of its negative vibe.

“Looking back on it, it was a different vibe than my album,” Sean says in the article. “There’s a lot of negativity on that song, and I don’t fuck with negative shit. People love drama, people love bullshit. I knew when Kendrick did that name-dropping that it was just gonna set it off, and I could see why people gravitated towards that verse for that reason. I respected him for thinking of that. I never wanna shade anybody. I would’ve been a ho-ass nigga if I cut that out of his verse, or if I didn’t put the song out.”

The second portion of G-Unit's collection of new music appears to be on the way.

Last year, the collective reunited to release The Beauty of Independence, a six-track EP, stuffed with hard-hitting beats and rhymes just as tough.

Now, the Unit is set to unleash another six tracks on its forthcoming The Beast Is G-Unit EP.

50 Cent has unveiled the cover art for the EP via Instagram and the tracklisting is now available, courtesy of iTunes New Zealand.

Rolls-Royce Reportedly Suing So So Def Rapper Royce Rizzy

Rolls-Royce, a luxury carmaker that is no stranger to Hip Hop, is suing Atlanta rapper Royce Rizzy, TMZ reports.

According to the celebrity gossip news outlet,  Rolls-Royce wants the So So Def rapper to stop selling t-shirts that say “Team Rolls Royce.”

The company says they sent the artist cease and desist letters before moving forward with the lawsuit.

Royce Rizzy denies receiving the letters and claims that he no longer sells the apparel.

However, he was wearing a hoodie with the slogan in a picture he posted on social media in December. He also hosted a 2014 New Year’s Eve celebration under his former name Rolls Royce Rizzy.

The rapper still owns a Twitter account with the username @RollsRoyceRizzy, as well. The last post on that account is from January 3 and the profile has a link to his new account that drops the “Rolls.”

So So Def founder Jermaine Dupri says that he made the rapper drop the “Rolls” from his name before endorsing him.

“I know how business works,” Dupri says.

2 Chainz Wants To Be The Mayor Of His Hometown

Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz recently revealed his goal to become the mayor of his hometown, College Park, Georgia in a recent interview with XXL. The rapper spoke on wanting to get the right qualifications before he ran for mayor, but he definitely wants to give it a shot.

“Speaking to XXL, Tity 2 Necklace said, “I’m a musician, not a politician. I’m supposed to be running for mayor in College Park [a city near Atlanta]. I got everybody wishing. Kanye West is known for not smiling very much, especially when it comes to paparazzi trying to snag a pic, and during a recent appearance at the Daily Front Row’s Fashion Los Angeles Awards, Ye spoke on why he doesn’t smile very much in his paparazzi pics.

“Back when I was working on Yeezus, I saw this book from the 1800s and it was velvet-covered with brass and everything,” West said. “I looked at all these people’s photos and they look so real and their outfits were incredible and they weren’t smiling and people, you know the paparazzi, always come up to me, ‘Why you not smiling?’ and I think, not smiling makes me smile… When you see paintings in an old castle, people are not smiling cause it just wouldn’t look as cool.” (HNHH)

Kid Cudi Speaks On His Homosexual Role In New Movie "James White"

Kid Cudi is serious about acting.

His new flick James White premiered during day two of the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.

According to Billboard, Cudi's character is gay and the rapper wasn't uncomfortable portraying the role.

"This was way different than anything else I've ever done," Cudi told Billboard prior to the film's premiere.  "It was dope to do that. I felt like I had a responsibility to present a different walk in life from that world."

The movie's plot focuses on a young New Yorker struggling to take control of his reckless, self destructive behavior in the face of momentous family challenges.

Cudi was cast as the gay best friend of the movie's heterosexual lead character, played by Christopher Abbot.

But viewers won't see Cudi coming out the closet to his friends or kissing a male friend during the film. Several of those scenes didn't make the final cut.

"When he comes out of the closet it's not really a thing," Cudi explained. "I think that's something the world needs to see. 'Cause it's not a thing. We're all equal."

"I'm mad [Mond] cut out my kissing scenes with David," he continued. "We made out so many times -- and it was so good! That's my only gripe."

Bobby Shmurda Has Gun Charge Dismissed

The Brooklyn District Attorney's office has announced that a gun case involving Bobby Shmurda will be dismissed in the coming weeks, according to Revolt.

Shmurda remains incarcerated at Rikers Island in New York after being arrested last month following an investigation by the NYPD and special Narcotics Gang Unit. The Brooklyn case set to be dismissed by the Brooklyn D.A. alleged that Shmurda, whose given name is Ackquille Pollard, fired a gun at a crowd of people near a barber shop.

Shmurda still faces the charges levied against him and his fellow GS9 members which include gun possession, murder, and conspiracy. The 20-year old rapper is currently being held on $2 million bail.

The rapper's lawyer, Howard Greenberg, also told Revolt that Shmurda is set for his upcoming trial date later this month.

“Brooklyn is done and now it’s on to Manhattan, where we need to teach these adversaries a lesson,” he said.

Greenberg also denied rumors that Shmurda was recently released on bail and separately that he had been critically injured in a jail brawl.

“Bullshit,” Greenberg said. “Saw him yesterday (January 20) in court. He looked fantastic.”

In a separate statement, Greenberg recently told XXL about upcoming plans for Shmurda's defense.

“The intermediate plan is if there is a superseding indictment on the 29th is to enter a plea of not guilty," he said. "The long term plan is to kick some ass and take no prisoners."
