Jeezy Criticizes Rappers Promoting Opioid Use

Jeezy is bothered by the proliferation of opioids in society, specifically within in Hip Hop. In a new interview with Mass Appeal, the Snowman was critical of rappers glorifying the dangerous drugs.
“I got a family member that’s a nurse,” Jeezy said around the 5:30 mark of the video below. “Just to hear the stories … she might call me, I’m like, ‘You good?’ [She says] ‘Aw man, we had five kids come in overdosed on this and that. I’m just like, what the fuck? You know what I’m saying? Percocet … I was just like, ‘Wow, that’s crazy. In one day, five kids come and die?’ She’s like, ‘Yeah, one 13-year-old.’ That’s crazy to me. But they listening to the music.”
The trap rap pioneer explained that he was fine with Hip Hop artists using opioids but had an issue with it being a focal point of their music.
“I can get it if that’s your vice, that’s what you like doing,” he said. “We gon’ respect that. But once your words get out, and you tell the people that this is it and that’s how it is, it’s like I don’t know if I can respect that. Ok, the music is cool but what you stand for though? If I had a conversation with you, you gonna be too doped up to tell me something cool? You gonna be too high to … I can’t follow you to the end of the earth. Like for one, you don’t even know what the fuck you talking about.”

Jeezy noted how kids, for better or worse, look up to rappers. He believes artists don’t realize how influential they are.
“These people are leaders,” he continued. “I don’t think they understand that. It’s one thing to be a culture vulture — get in and getcha money. But don’t act like you the realest thing since Makaveli, Scarface or Jeezy or Boosie or T.I. These are stand up guys. These guys are living legends.”
As a veteran, the Pressure MC believes it’s his duty to speak up when he sees such a problem.
“It’s important for me to come when I come, when it’s too much,” he said. “It’s too ignorant. It takes people like me to step in and say, ‘That’s cool, man, but you could do this also over here.'”

XXXTENTACION Out Of Jail But Slapped With House Arrest

After being taken into custody last week on multiple felony charges, XXXTENTACION is expected to be released from jail on 60 days of house arrest, according to TMZ.
As indicated on the Miami-Dade Corrections website, the polarizing Broward County, Florida native was released on felony bond Wednesday (December 20).
The 17 rapper’s attorney David Bogenschutz reportedly said the judge is willing to let X fulfill his contractual obligations while on house arrest, meaning he’ll still be able to make music and record in a local studio. As part of his house arrest conditions, he’s strictly forbidden to have contact with the alleged victim or any witnesses in the case.
Screen Shot 2017-12-20 at 12.10.00 PMBogenschutz added that once X’s house arrest expires, his team will try to get him released on bond while they prepare for trial.
X, who’s brief career has been shrouded in controversy, was arrested on seven felony charges stemming from a 2016 domestic violence case. On Monday (December 18), he was slapped with eight more felonies for alleged witness tampering, bringing the total felony count to 15. Prosecutors discovered the evidence after combing through his jail calls he made last year.
X’s next trial date is January 24, 2018.

African Producer Yo Asel Sues French Montana For Allegedly Stealing "Lockjaw" Beat

French Montana’s 2016 smash hit “Lockjaw” is now the subject of intense scrutiny since it’s been placed as the centerpiece of a lawsuit against the New York rap star, while guest star, Kodak Black and producer Ben Billions, Cocaine City Records, Bad Boy Records, and Sony are all named in the suit as well.
According to Bossip, a Morrocan-born producer claims that French stole the beat from him and flipped it without giving him any credit or profits from the song.

The producer named Assil Youssef – who goes by “Yo Asel” – sued French for copyright infringement in December at the Manhattan Federal Court. Being a well-known producer in North Africa, Youssef decided to reach out to French (real name is Karim Kharbouch) in 2015 and sent a beat via email. According to court documents, French responded, telling Youssef to send more beats.
In 2016, Youssef said that he was shocked to hear “Lockjaw,” with the beat being a slightly different version of the production that he sent in the email and being accredited to Billions. He attempted to reach out to French on social media about the situation but Montana blocked him from communicating with him.
Youssef is suing for monetary damages, a percentage of the track’s profits, and an injunction on the single’s distribution. He believes that his reputation has been damaged because of the alleged theft of the song.
So far, French Montana and the other defendants have yet to respond to the lawsuit but this isn’t the rap star’s first discrepancy with a production credit.

During his August 2017 Breakfast Club interview, French apparently forget the names of the producers who spliced together “Unforgettable,” his biggest record to date.

Mystikal Pleads Not Guilty In Rape & Kidnapping Case

Mystikal has pleaded not guilty to the rape and kidnapping charges thrown at him.

The rapper is facing one count of first degree rape and one count of second degree kidnapping, which stems from an alleged assault in a downtown Shreveport casino back in October of 2006 and he has decided to plead not guilty.
Mystikal, born Michael Lawrence Tyler, was indicted on the charges back in September after he turned himself into authorities in August. He is being held at Caddo Correctional Center while he awaits trial.
The rapper is only one of three people being charged in connection to the assault.
Averweone Darnell Holman, 26, is also charged with one count of first-degree rape and one count of second-degree kidnapping, and Tenichia Monieck Wafford, 42, is charged with one count of obstruction of justice. They are also being held at Caddo.
The rapper has a $3 million bond set.

The Game Sued By 40 Glocc – Again

The Game is being sued by 40 Glocc for allegedly dragging his feet when it comes to paying the G-Unit affiliate the nearly $200,000 he supposedly owes him, according to a lawsuit recently filed by Glocc himself.
In new court documents obtained by TMZ, Glocc claims he won a previous lawsuit back in November 2016 that stated The Game owed him $196,335.15 stemming from a 2012 battery incident.
Footage of the infamous incident was released online at the time and quickly went viral. It featured The Game attacking 40 Glocc while recording the whole incident on his iPhone. The fight, which spawned the website 40GloccGotKTFO.com, reportedly took place following a house party in Los Angeles in July 2012.

In his new lawsuit, Glocc accuses The Game of setting up shell companies to hide the money. Glocc also claims that as The Game has delayed handing over the cash and that the original amount of $196,335.15 has increased to $216,775.52 with interest.
The Game has yet to publicly respond to Glocc’s latest lawsuit.

Michael Jackson Sex Abuse Case Dismissed

A Los Angeles judge dismissed a lawsuit filed against the late Michael Jackson on Tuesday (December 19), according to the Associated Press.
Choreographer Wade Robson alleged the King of Pop molested him as a child but Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff found that two Jackson-owned corporations — the two remaining defendants in the case — weren’t liable for exposing Robson to Jackson, although Judge Beckloff didn’t rule on the credibility of Robson’s allegations.
Robson met the music legend when he was 5-years-old and initially defended the “Thriller” mastermind at Jackson’s 2005 criminal trial, claiming he’d spent the night at least 20 times at Neverland Ranch and was never molested. Jackson was eventually acquitted.

But in 2013, Robson changed course and filed a lawsuit against the Michael Jackson Estate, saying he was molested over a seven-year period. Two years later, a judge ruled it was too late to sue for any of Jackson’s money, so Robson continued going after MJJ Productions, Inc., and MJJ Ventures, Inc. Judge Beckloff’s Tuesday ruling put an end to that chapter.
Robson’s attorney, Vince Finaldi, plans to appeal.
“What the judge is saying is that you if own a corporation or a company, you can hire people, use these people to facilitate your sexual abuse, use them to facilitate victims,” Finaldi told The Associated Press by phone. “So long as you’re the sole owner of that corporation, the corporation can’t be held liable.”
Jackson estate attorney Howard Weitzman disagrees. “The court made the correct decision in dismissing Wade Robson’s claim against it,” he said in a statement. “In my opinion Mr. Robson’s allegations, made 20 plus years after they supposedly occurred and years after Mr. Robson testified twice under oath — including in front of a jury — that Michael Jackson had never done anything wrong to him was always about the money rather than a search for the truth.”

XXTENTACION Sent To Jail After Being Hit With 7 New Felonies

Miami, FL – XXXTENTACION was sent to jail Friday morning (December 15) after prosecutors hit him with seven new charges in relation to his 2016 domestic violence case, according to TMZ.
The new counts, which are all felonies, reportedly include different degrees of witness tampering and witness harassment.
As reported earlier this month, X’s legal team submitted a document claiming his ex-girlfriend – who he allegedly assaulted when she was pregnant with his child last year – no longer wanted him to be prosecuted. But those overseeing the case told the judge they didn’t believe the statement was legitimate, thus leading prosecutors to pursue charges of witness tampering and witness harassment, which  — out of all of his charges — carry the stiffest legal penalties.
At a hearing in Miami-Dade County on Friday morning, the judge told X he’d violated his bond from his initial arrest and the 17 rapper was sent straight to jail. He’s reportedly being held without bail.
X is facing a bevy of charges, including aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness tampering. If convicted, he faces decades in prison.

George Zimmerman Threatens To "Beat JAY-Z" Over Trayvon Martin Doc

JAY-Z and The Weinstein Company announced a six-part docuseries Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story in March. Based on attorney Lisa Bloom’s book Suspicion Nation: The Inside Story of the Trayvon Martin Injustice and Why We Continue to Repeat It, it chronicles Trayvon Martin’s brief life, his shooting death at the hands of George Zimmerman and Zimmerman’s subsequent acquittal.
When Zimmerman learned the production team working on the docuseries attempted to interview his family, he threatened to “beat JAY-Z” and feed anyone who “fucks” with his parents to “an alligator,” according to The Blast.
It all started two weeks ago when the team — spearheaded by executive producer Michael Gasparro — made unannounced visits to both Zimmerman’s parents and uncle’s home where Zimmerman says they “harassed” his family. He didn’t confirm whether they went on camera to participate in the project.
“Anyone who fucks with my parents will be fed to an alligator,” he reportedly said.

Zimmerman, who shot the 17-year-old Martin five years ago, also said, “I know how to handle people who fuck with me, I have since February 2012,” alluding to the date of Martin’s death (February 26, 2012).
Zimmerman is reportedly bothered that producers allegedly paid his ex-wife to appear in the documentary but refuse to pay any of his other family members.
Considering the recent Harvey Weinstein sex scandal and Bloom’s contentious working relationship with the Hollywood titan (she previously represented him and admitted that decision was a “colossal mistake” in an interview with Vanity Fair), it’s unclear if the project will ever see the light of day.

Here's How Tekashi 6ix9ine Has Responded To His Sex Crime Allegations

When rainbow-haired rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine started to pick up traction with his viral hit “Gummo,” details of the 21-year-old’s personal life also started to emerge. Most troubling was his sexual misconduct case involving a minor.
After fellow rappers Trippie Red and Zillakami accused him of being a “pedophile” on social media, it was discovered 6ix9ine actually entered a guilty plea to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office for “the use of a child in a sexual performance” in 2015, according to Jezebel. The Brooklyn native has responded to the recent wave of publicity dissecting the case with zero remorse.
“I WANT ALL THE MEDIA OUTLETS TO KNOW U CAN WRITE ANYTHING U WANT ABOUT ME. THROW DIRT ON MY NAME,” he wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. “HATE ON ME. AS YOU CAN SEE IT ONLY MADE ME WHAT U DIDNT WANT ME TO BE AND THATS AT THE TOP. IT GETS UNDER YALL SKIN HOW GOOD IM DOING AND IT HURTS YOU THAT I KNOW xoxo xoxo xoxo.”
6ix9nine, who evidently has an affinity for blow-up dolls (male or female), was busted once the mother of the victim discovered three disturbing videos involving her child, then 13, online. In an interview with DJ Akademiks, he attempted to downplay the incident and claimed it happened “two to three years ago.” The complaint was officially filed with police on February 23, 2015.

The New York State Unified Court System’s online database says he was arrested March 5, 2015. The graphic details of the crime are described in the Jezebel article and involve multiple men. In the interview with the Everyday Struggle co-host, 6ix9ine is adamant “there’s no rape.”
Although 6ix9ine is currently free, which he has repeatedly pointed out, his sentence was adjourned for two years until October 20, 2017 and has since been adjourned further. As of now, the sentencing is reportedly scheduled for January 30, 2018.
Much like polarizing rapper XXXTENTACION, who is currently sitting in a Florida jail for multiple felonies stemming from a 2016 domestic violence case, 6ix9ine’s burgeoning rap career is already shrouded in controversy. But curiously, that only seems to elevate their profile. X’s debut album, 17, peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart and 6ix9ine’s “Gummo” video has over 55 million views.

All The Way Up: Azealia Banks & Remy Ma Trade Social Media Insults

Azealia Banks and Remy Ma, two ladies who are no strangers to beef, found themselves going at it on social media over the weekend. After hearing some comments made by Remy during an interview on Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning, Banks fired off some insults at the “SHETHER” MC.
“When I came home it was nothing,” Remy said during the interview. “It was tumbleweeds blowing through as far as female artists is concerned.

Banks responded in a since-deleted Instagram post by chiding Remy for using Nicki Minaj to stay relevant.
“Remy – the hottest things you’ve released since you’ve been out of jail are Nicki love letters and she’s STILL miles more important than you,” she wrote.
Remy saw this before it was taken down and aired out Banks by sharing some of their private messages.
“@azealiabanks Ayo, I know you ain’t talkin about me, dog,” she wrote. “You? What?! You been on my dick; you love my style #RemyMa #RemyMafia #ShesBack #Part1 Ps: I know you don’t want no smoke so I’ll play ya lil social media games until I allow my team to convince me to stop… MIND U LADIES & GENTLEMAN THESE TEXTS START FROM LAST YEAR…PEEP HOW I DONT EVEN RESPOND…smh…I’m responding now though.”

Banks then tried to clarify her comments and be more diplomatic about the situation.
“Ahem…. let me rephrase … Remy … you absolutely must step your shit up,” she said. “The music you have been releasing is some serious old head rap shit and it’s 100% unfair that you stand up on your reality tv booster seat and make any statements about female rap as if you have done a single thing to move the cultural needle since you’ve been home. It is not 2000… battle rapping is dead. Gun clapping is not chic .. you are struggling to keep up with the rest of female rap and it’s time you seriously leave the nicki minaj subs and disses at home. No more auntie antics in 2018… for arts’ sake……”

Remy wasn’t having it, slamming Banks for deleting the original Instagram post and sharing more of their once-private correspondence.
“@azealiabanks DONT FUCKIN CHANGE YA CAPTION NOW!” she retorted. “I got a year and a half more of u stalking me, hating on ya new fave, & getting ignored… I’m officially airing out ALL y’all chicks that was on MY line heavy when I touched down & now all of a sudden got amnesia?Operation NEVER taking my foot off they neck has commenced…(& normally I’m against exposing private sh*t when things go left but y’all broads crazyyy).”

Remy has since deleted both of her Instagram posts.

Rick Ross' Longtime Manager Black Bo Passes Away

Black Bo, the longtime manager of Rick Ross, has passed away at the age of 56. Rozay broke the news at Art Basel 2017 during a Maxim party on Friday night (December 8).
“This is an extremely sexy party,” he told the crowd in Miami, according to Drill King. “I know my dog Black would’ve loved to be here. Come on let me rap for my dog Black one time.”
No details about Black’s death have emerged and Ross hasn’t mentioned it on social media at this time. Black had been extremely active on social media until November 17. Other artists, including French Montana and Wale, have confirmed the news of passing with condolence messages on Instagram.

It's All About The Benjamins: Diddy Is 2017's Highest-Paid Musician

It’s good to be Diddy. Despite not having released a solo project since 2015’s MMM, the Hip Hop mogul was named 2017’s highest-paid musician by Forbes.
Puff Daddy pulled in a whopping $130 million pretax this year, a career-best mark for the powerful executive. To calculate this, Forbes evaluated pretax income from June 1, 2016 through June 1, 2017. The publication used data from Nielsen SoundScan, the RIAA, Pollstar and industry insiders.
Forbes attributes Diddy’s massive earnings to a variety of income sources, including the Bad Boy’s reunion tour and his Ciroc vodka deal.
Diddy also got a major influx of capital by selling a third of his Sean John clothing line. That sale alone earned him an estimated $70 million.

Chris Brown Earned 40 RIAA Plaques This Year

R&B’s resident bad boy Chris Brown is closing out the year with another accomplishment to add to his list. On Wednesday (December 6), Brown took to Twitter to reveal he’s received over three dozen plaques from the RIAA this year.
“40 PLAQUES THIS YEAR!,” he wrote. “Today the RIAA released 23 more certified platinum and gold plaques that included 12 x multi platinum singles. 74.5 million single and album sales just in the US.”
A number of Brown’s songs certified platinum (or gold) date back to 2005, and include “Gimme That,” “Run It!” and “Yo (Excuse Me Miss).”
Brown’s latest feat follows another gold certification from the RIAA for his new 45-track album Heartbreak On A Full Moon, which was released on Halloween.

Eminem Drops "Untouchable" & Reveals "Revival" Cover Art

Detroit got a special surprise when Eminem lit up the city with a projection of his Revival album’s cover art. A video of the scene was uploaded to Slim Shady’s official YouTube channel on Thursday (December 7).

The latest reveal is the final piece of the puzzle before Eminem drops his much-anticipated album on December 15. Although the double LP theory has been debunked, Marshall Mathers is looking to create some excitement with the release of a new song titled “Untouchable.”

After weeks of anticipation, the tracklist for Eminem’s ninth studio album Revival has been revealed. Eminem took to Instagram to unveil the news on Tuesday (December 5) with a simple caption that read: “12/15.”
Boasting 19 tracks, the album features guest spots from Beyoncé, Phresher, Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys, X Ambassadors, Skylar Grey, Kehlani and P!nk.

Meek Mill Working Multiple Jobs In Prison

Meek Mill has already been working multiple jobs while being locked up at Pennsylvania’s SCI Chester.

According to reports, Meek is apart of the general labor crew, and he is cleaning the cell block, prison grounds and washing dishes. He is also reportedly cooking food and serving it.
A rep for the prison claims Meek has been a model inmate and he’s getting some nice perks for it.

Meek Mill’s Bail Request Denied By Superior Court

Meek Mill‘s bail request was denied by a Pennsylvania Superior Court.

According to the Associated Press, Meek‘s defense team requested the bail hearing to the Pennsylvania Superior Court, but things didn’t go as planned.
Mill’s team is claiming they were forced to go to higher-level help after Judge Genece Brinkle, the judge who sentenced the rapper to 2-4 years in prison, refused to respond to multiple appeals they submitted already.
Although this request was denied, there is still hope for Meek.
Meek’s representative Jordian Siev issued a statement, which said: “We’re pleased that the Superior Court took immediate action to direct the Court of Common Pleas to decide on the application for bail without further delay. We remain hopeful that Mr. Williams will be promptly released on bail.”

Is Eminem Afraid To Give Us A Pure Hip Hop Album?

The Marshall Mathers LP was great for a ton of obvious reasons but one aspect that rarely gets analyzed is how beautifully it spotlighted Eminem, the then 28-year-old soon-to-be “rap god,” as he wrestled with his newfound fame.
Particularly on “The Way I Am,”  which goes into great detail about how fame has disrupted Em’s right to privacy (“And I’m thankful for every fan that I get, but I can’t take a shit in the bathroom without someone standing by it”), and “Marshall Mathers,” where his self-titled psychiatrist couch session uncovers the warranted horrors that come with outgrowing your status.
Especially — ESPECIALLY from a Hip Hop point of view. The culture was founded on a sense of pride, realism and credibility that would inevitably have to backseat things once real business savvy came into play. And Eminem was feeling the brunt when he was just trying to do him.
“Now these kids diss me and act like some big sissies/ ‘Oh, he just did some shit with Missy/ So now he thinks he’s too big to do some shit with MC Get-Bizzy,'” he fumed midway through “Marshall Mathers'” free-falling vent.

Although the name never became as synonymous with the underground as “Stan” did with fanatics, Eminem did pay considerable dues alongside the Get-Bizzys of the world in lieu of the obviousness that his skin color afforded him a bit of affirmative action within Hip Hop’s stratosphere. This is a guy whose first album sounds like it was exclusively recorded on an 8-track tape.
A guy who comfortably nestled alongside a slew of “real” MCs on Sway & King Tech’s heralded Wake Up Show “Anthem” and also boosted his discography with guest appearances for Rawkus Records’ Soundbombing II compilation, Funkmaster Flex, Shabaam Sahdeeq and several other underground projects. This is a guy who once admitted he was too nervous to cop a Rolex at a time when his album was fast-tracking towards diamond status and MTV’s TRL couldn’t stop talking about him.
Em even joked about the “sellout” accusations during his 2015 Genius annotating spree on the aforementioned “Marshall Mathers” line when he wrote, “MC Get-Bizzy just went platinum in Guam. His single ‘Bizzy Bounce’ has topped the charts over there. I missed out. Damn.”
But after the revelation that was the Revival tracklisting, it’s painfully obvious that Eminem doesn’t thrive off of being associated with any traditional Hip Hop sensibilities anymore.

Now, rarely does Eminem share his own album limelight with other rappers. Given the amount of raw talent currently existing on Shady Records, one would think that’s where the collaborations would stem from. While P!nk and Skylar Grey are his longtime homies, and Beyoncé and Alicia Keys are just golden voices any respectable artist should want to record with, the message is clear that Eminem wants to attract active mainstream music consumers at any cost. I’m not sure if there was a campaign for an Eminem x Ed Sheeran collaboration though. We must have missed that one on Twitter.
Allow me to add that calling Eminem a “sellout” will always be a reach. There isn’t an accolade, criticism or run of bad music that can rupture his Hip Hop credibility. He’s got the props and the plaques to prove it. If selling out constitutes being the second highest-selling male artist of all time, then every Tom, Dick and Harry should be vying for the stereotype.

But is there a sense of forgotten roots or general boredom with the perennial culture of rap? Kitschy records such as “Cinderella Man,” “Drug Ballad,” “Ass Like That” and “Cum On Everybody” have always permeated Eminem albums, not to mention the obviousness of mainstream ploys that accompany his lead singles. Yet, a consistent vibe of Hip Hop has been growing increasingly scarce, in terms of production and general rhyme schemes. Revival‘s (kickoff?) single, “Walk on Water,” has the now 45-year-old MC acknowledging the underlying consensus of his music these days (“There was a time I had the world by the balls, eating out my palm/ Every album, song I was spazzin’ the fuck out on/ And now I’m getting clowned and frowned on”).

That time he speaks of is most likely between the years of 2000-2002, which brought forth The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show and 8 Mile-everything. It was a time that also brought forth his most symmetrical Hip Hop material. While artists eventually evolve, the hibernation of Slim Shady in favor of a more gleaming pop sound is taking Eminem out of the top rap conversations. If you look at recent Grammy-nominated rap albums such as the pristine Laila’s Wisdom by Rapsody or even heavy favorite JAY-Z’s bare-bones 4:44, it’s apparent that rap simply is enough these days. Even Nicki Minaj, who’s dodged criticisms of not being Hip Hop enough while simultaneously becoming the biggest female Hip Hop artist of all time, has revealed plans to return to the essence on her next go-around.
So why is Eminem doubling down — hell, tripling down on his bets on the record sales safeguards? Is it fear, stubbornness or boredom? It’s a safe assumption that he’ll get radio play no matter how seedy — or sugary — the content is.
Only Detroit’s Finest can give us that answer.
What we do know is there’s been reluctance. The tail end of “Walk On Water” ends with a rare direct boast daring anyone to question his solidification, seeing that he is the creator of “Stan” (easily one of the greatest rap songs to ever hit a CD). But Eminem has known to be reluctant about giving himself credit, even where and when it’s due. An earlier line in “Walk on Water” where he spits, “I’m not God-sent, Nas, Rakim, ‘Pac, B.I.G., James Todd Smith/ And I’m not Prince, so…”

I don’t necessarily like “Walk On Water” but I do appreciate the headspace Marshall Mathers has found himself in. The saying “once an addict, always an addict” doesn’t yield to any sort of financial status or physical strength, so for him to divulge in music that delivers a sense of catharsis — especially if it’s keeping him alive — then so be it.
It’s just disappointing it can’t be beats, rhymes and life that bring everybody onto the rap side.
The real side.

Mase Sends Warning To Cam’ron: “If It Doesn’t Stop It’s Gon’ End Bad”

Mase sends a warning to Cam’ron: “If it doesn’t stop it’s gon’ end bad.”

Murda Mase dropped a new track titled “Rap Rushmore” featuring DJ Khaled & Diddy, and he went straight to Angie Martinez for a sit down interview.

During the interview, He spoke on a whole bunch of things going in his life right now, including his beef with Cam’ron.

Mase said,

“The spirit of the song is whatever happened when we were 19, grow up. Anybody should understand that. Whatever we went through at 19, 20 or even 21, grow up.” Mase said before adding that he only participated in the beef because he had to. “You knew eventually I was going to come out the house. you knew that. So why keep going there? thats what he wanted. He got what he wanted”

Angie then asked the rapper how him and Cam could end the beef, and he replied “I told you how it ends. If it doesn’t stop it’s gon’ end bad for him.”

Mase added,

“Really I aint have nothing else to say. I said what I needed to say. He went on the radio and said what he needed to say. I go on the radio and say what I have to say. It could stop there or it don’t have to.”

Is 2 Chainz Salty About Eminem's "Revival" Guest List?

There has been a wave of negative feedback about the tracklist for Eminem’s new album, Revival, with the biggest complaint being the lack of rap features, save for Brooklyn’s Phresher. One artist who seemed to be as blindsided as the many fans vocalizing their distaste via social media was rapper 2 Chainz.

In an Instagram post that simply included three emojis (eyes, angry face and punch), it’s unclear whether Chainz is upset about his feature not making the cut or the tracklist in general.

The Pretty Girls Like Trap Music rapper had all but confirmed a collaboration on the upcoming album this past summer, taking a photo with Em and recounting the experience of recording the song in an interview on DJ Drama’s Streetz Is Watchin.

“That’s how I know I can rap,” 2 Chainz stated when talking about the experience. What was originally supposed to be a hook turned into a full verse, which Em apparently approved of. “When it was over, Eminem came up to me and said ‘Man, how the hell did you rhyme tabernacle with Adam’s apple?’”

He then told Drama matter of factly, “He’s got a project coming out.” However, he later back peddled on the story during a Hot 97 interview, claiming he had zero knowledge of the collab. “I don’t know anything.”

Perhaps 2 Chainz was well aware that his song wouldn’t be making the cut, as the rollout of Revival seems to be incredibly calculated. Another possibility is 2 Chainz is trying to throw fans off the trail.

A popular fan theory suggests Revival is a double album, with the second disc being more Hip Hop-centric. This would make sense as the lack of features from some of Em’s latest signees — namely Boogie, Westside Gunn and Conway — seem like enormous missed opportunities for Shady Records.
