Diddy Receives Warning Shots For Touching Drake

Diddy and Drake have had an ongoing feud ever since Drizzy got punched by Puff outside of LIV Nightclub back in December, and now Drake’s longtime mentor is stepping in to send off some warning shots to Diddy, Suge Knight, Lil Wayne and Birdman.
Rap-A-Lot Records CEO James Prince recently did a song that he calls a “courtesy call.” In the song Prince says Drake is “family” and he tells Puff that he will be coming after his family if things don’t end. Prince then goes on to take jabs at Wayne,Birdman and Suge.

“Sources connected to J. Prince tell us this has been simmering since Diddy punched Drake outside LIV Nightclub back in December. On the track, Prince makes it clear Drizzy is “family,” and adds … “Puffy feeling like he can put his hands on my family, open the doors for his family to be touched. You reap what you sow.”
That’s just the start … he goes in on Weezy and Birdman — with whom he’s had a long-running legal war — and also rips “Sugar Bear” for a not-so-subtle jab at Drake he made to a TMZ camera guy.” (TMZ)

Chance The Rapper To Release "Surf" As Surprise Album

In a move similar to that of the one Beyonce pulled in late 2013, Chicago lyricist Chance The Rapper may possibly release his upcoming Surf album without warning. The wordsmith spoke on the album during an interview with comedian and fellow Chicago native, Hannibal Buress for Interview magazine.
He compared the album, which he created with The Social Experiment, to “a Beyoncé kind of thing” and added that he can’t reveal the release date.
“The album is very much so a Beyoncé kind of thing. I can't say the date of the project," Chance said during his interview with Buress. "But, I can say that it's super dope.”
Chance also dropped another interesting tidbit during the interview when he revealed that he auditioned for the role of Dr. Dre in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton. Unfortunately for the rapper, he says "it wasn't in God's plan."
“I actually did try out for the N.W.A. movie…I read for Dre. But it wasn't in God's plan,” he said.
Earlier this year, Chance The Rapper and The Social Experiment released a small Surf teaser with the release of their “Nothing Came To Me” silent film, which featured English model Cara Delevigne.

Hip Hop artists who have graced the pages of the prestigious Guinness Book of World Records are the center of a new list curated by XXL.
“These rappers have proven that they are talented in more ways than one. Beyond feats of music greatness, rap stars have a tendency to strive for as many superlatives as possible,” the article says. “Rappers love to add as many titles to their calling card as possible. But there’s no higher achievement than being named unequivocally the best by the Guinness Book of World Records.”
The first artist to be included on the list is Eminem for his The Marshall Mathers LP 2 cut, “Rap God.”
“Em’s 2013 single, Rap God set the record for most words in a song. The quick-tongued Detroit rapper averages more than 4 words a second,” the piece says.
Next up was Philadelphia, Pennsylvania emcee Chiddy Bang for holding the record for the longest freestyle rap.
“Back in 2011, the Opposite of Adults rapper set the Guinness record for ‘Longest Freestyle Rap.’ Chiddy rapped for 9 hours, 16 minutes and 22 seconds,” the publication says.
Jay Z was also included on the list for his impressive promotional work on his 2006 album, Kingdom Come.
“Brooklyn’s boy actually has held numerous records throughout his career. One of his greatest feats was in 2006 when he performed the most live shows in a 24-hour stretch,” XXL says. “HOV performed a seven-city Hangar Tour within 24-hours, going from Atlanta to Las Vegas. It was all in promotion of his album Kingdom Come.”

In a recent interview with AnimalNewYork, Questlove - Jay Z's peer and friend - answered questions about the elite fraternity. “That folklore has always been sort of prevalent in all of music," he explained. "I guess it’s unprecedented how most people think Jay Z is the Illuminati leader.”
“And often times, even though I don’t believe it, I’ve been in a few situations in which I feel uncomfortable with how comfortable they are being in front of me," he continued. "Like, we’re friends and so sometimes I feel like ‘oh I shouldn’t have seen that’ and now they’re going to kill me.”
Questlove's only notable link to the organization is an episode of The Cleveland Show, where he portrays a member of the Rap Illuminati, alongside Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars and Will.i.am.

A$AP Mob To Release Tribute T-shirt For A$AP Yams

In commemoration of A$AP Yams, who passed away last month at the age of 26, the A$AP Mob are set to release a tribute t-shirt honoring the life of the group’s co-founder.
The front of the t-shirt, which is available in black, occupies two photos of Yams with the words “REST IN PEACE” emblazoned above.

Missy Elliot & Timbaland Reunite In The Studio

Missy Elliott may be gearing up for a full-blown comeback.
After hitting the stage alongside Katy Perry at the Super Bowl, the "Get Ur Freak On" rapper is back in the studio working on new music.
Missy took to Twitter yesterday (February 10) night to share with her followers an image of herself and longtime collaborator Timbaland.
“Me & @Timbaland bk 2 the drawing board studio dirty beats!” she wrote via the social media site, arousing her followers.
The two Virginia natives have had a working relationship, dating back to at least 1996 when they began to prep Missy's debut, Supa Dupa Fly. Timbaland has contributed to each of Missy Misdemeanor's five albums.
In a recent interview on "Sway in the Morning," Missy called the hits she and Timbaland have crafted "timeless."
"I think what me and Tim did, our music was so ahead of its time and its still ahead of its time and it's not even coming from a cocky or conceited way, I look at Tim and say, 'What were you on? What were we on? Musically, It can't be duplicated," she said via phone on the radio broadcast. "Those records are timeless, now when you play them it don't sound dated."

50 Cent was recently interviewed and he spoke on his opinion about Kanye West’s Grammy Awards stunt he pulled when Beck beat Beyonce out for “Album Of The Year.” 50 believes Kanye is wrong and Beck should have won the award.

Benzino Arrested For Drugs And Suspended License

Former “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Benzino decided to drive his Maserati around Atlanta with a suspended license and ended up getting pulled over for not wearing his seat belt. Once Benzino was pulled over the police found his weed stash in his whip and was taken to jail for the seatbelt violation, suspended license and possession of marijuana.

“Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Benzino was stopped by Atlanta cops late Wednesday afternoon simply for failing to buckle up, but then they found a pot stash in his ride. Benzino was hauled off to jail for the belt violation, suspended license and possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $2,269.00” (TMZ)

Suge Knight Reportedly Ambushed By Gunmen Before Fatal Hit & Run

Suge Knight reportedly now has video footage of the whole parking lot altercation that led to a man’s death. Sources connected to Suge say the footage shows Cle “Bone” Sloan holding a gun pointing it at Knight right before the hit and run.
According to reports, the video footage was shot in the Tam’s hamburger spot and it clearly shows the entire altercation leading up to the fatal hit and run. In the video it shows a man take the gun from Bone after he was hit and walked away with it.

“Our Suge sources believe the video clearly shows the fight leading up to the fatal hit and run was an ambush. We’re told you see a gun in Bone’s hand … and it looks like another person is also there holding a gun.
In the video … after Suge runs over Bone and Terry Carter, someone walks over and takes the gun from Bone’s hand and walks away with it.

Bobby Brown Reportedly Taking Bobbi Kristina Off Life Support Tomorrow

Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, has been on life support for about a week now and new reports claim she will be taken off tomorrow, which will be the 3rd anniversary of her mother’s death.
According to reports, Bobby Brown has decided to take his daughter off life support because he is realizing there is no hope for his daughter to recover.

“Brown family sources tell us Bobby has finally made the decision, realizing there is no hope for his 21-year-old daughter to recover. A source connected with Houston’s family told TMZ on Sunday … Cissy Houston, Whitney’s mom, also wanted life support pulled on the anniversary to “bond mother and daughter for eternity.” We have not confirmed this, but the NY Post ran the story this AM.” (TMZ)

UPDATE: Bobby Brown‘s lawyer has come forward an issued a statement that is denying all reports that Bobbi Kristina will be taken off life support tomorrow (Feb. 11).

“A lawyer for Bobby Brown just issued a statement, saying there is no truth to the story that Bobbi Kristina will be taken off life support tomorrow. As we reported, members of the Brown family informed us that was indeed the case. But the lawyer, Christopher Brown, says it’s not so.” (TMZ)

Nicki Minaj Speaks On Birdman Getting Denied Access Into Her Party

As we reported, Birdman was denied access in to Nicki Minaj’s pre-Grammy party and Minaj’s people have decided to address the situation. According to reports, the only reason why Birdman and his crew got denied was because the wanted to buy bottle service, but the club was about to close down. Apparently Nicki had already left the party and they had the houselights on.
