Is 2 Chainz Salty About Eminem's "Revival" Guest List?

There has been a wave of negative feedback about the tracklist for Eminem’s new album, Revival, with the biggest complaint being the lack of rap features, save for Brooklyn’s Phresher. One artist who seemed to be as blindsided as the many fans vocalizing their distaste via social media was rapper 2 Chainz.

In an Instagram post that simply included three emojis (eyes, angry face and punch), it’s unclear whether Chainz is upset about his feature not making the cut or the tracklist in general.

The Pretty Girls Like Trap Music rapper had all but confirmed a collaboration on the upcoming album this past summer, taking a photo with Em and recounting the experience of recording the song in an interview on DJ Drama’s Streetz Is Watchin.

“That’s how I know I can rap,” 2 Chainz stated when talking about the experience. What was originally supposed to be a hook turned into a full verse, which Em apparently approved of. “When it was over, Eminem came up to me and said ‘Man, how the hell did you rhyme tabernacle with Adam’s apple?’”

He then told Drama matter of factly, “He’s got a project coming out.” However, he later back peddled on the story during a Hot 97 interview, claiming he had zero knowledge of the collab. “I don’t know anything.”

Perhaps 2 Chainz was well aware that his song wouldn’t be making the cut, as the rollout of Revival seems to be incredibly calculated. Another possibility is 2 Chainz is trying to throw fans off the trail.

A popular fan theory suggests Revival is a double album, with the second disc being more Hip Hop-centric. This would make sense as the lack of features from some of Em’s latest signees — namely Boogie, Westside Gunn and Conway — seem like enormous missed opportunities for Shady Records.

Now, let me speak:
For those of you who have heard this song before,truth be told, the beat of this song ain't that bad..,you can definitely groove to it.But,I do have issues with the lyrics.Like first of all,.. What the F is YAMARITA?..
I know musical artists love cooking up new slangs and all that, but YAMARITA!.. I don't  get it!.. What is it suppose to mean?.. 
And also the chorus part:"Isu Ogo Eyin Fepami,two eggs,one yam x3.. Seriously,are we singing about yam and eggs now? ..It sounds like a nursery rhyme for christ sake.
You also ended up saying "my girls go vex cause them love am x3".. I know girls love food though, but not just yam and eggs (lol)..
Like seriously, "mo da bi ti amarita".. You know,I had to google search these words but got nothing..Though am Yoruba,I still couldn't decipher what you were saying.
Quote me wrong on this people,"You are in love" by Joe-EL was a great song, and the song that struck the name Joe-EL in peoples heart, simply because the song made a lot of sense lyrically.. So,why has Joe-EL decided to feed us with yam and egg now?.. (chuckles)..(No need to talk about the verses,we all know the hook plays the major role in song writing)

YAMARITA as a song for me,isn't what I expected from an artist like Joe-EL lyrically speaking.. It's just the unserious and unintelligent kind of song,more or less a freestyle after getting high or something.. I mean,you can't tell me you sat down to write a song about yam and egg!No matter your interpretation of it..(laughing).. Shit ain't funny though.

So now to the part were I give my undiluted opinion as to whether this song is "worthy or unworthy" of the artist who did it, and of we the listeners that our souls are been fed with it.. Hmm, I would say this song.. is.. UNWORTHY.
Nonetheless people,let's have your own opinion and your comments on this.

Joe-EL, should you be reading this, please don't  get it twisted..I love your songs,most especially"You are in love".. That was a song you made with an intention, you had solid reasons, a purpose for making it and we the listeners were able to interprete the message embedded within the song.. We need more of that from you, songs that speaks meaning.. Be it about love, the society,gangster ish, peace,war,etc.. Anything,as long as when you put the words together,they make deep sense,carry emotions,and have meaning.. Hope that ain't too much to ask?.. Huh! (smiles)..

INTRODUCING!!!... "DA LYRICS CRITIC SHOW"

Africa!.. Nigeria!!.. Music lovers all over the world!!!.. Let me ask a quick question!.. How many of ya'll agree with me that some of our musical artists SUCK lyrically?.. Hmm??.. I DO!.. It's like this artist releases this song and everyone is like.. "hey!.. Dope song,tight lyrics,nice punchlines, inspirational,motivational,elevating,initiating"..you know, good comments like that..Then this next artist drops his song and you are asking yourself questions like.. "what kind of horrible song is this?.. Are the lyrics intended to corrupt and damage the mindset of our generation and the next?..Why not just sing with pidgin rather than speak incorrect grammar,then claim "It is allowed"?.. What message does this song carry?.. Why is this person repeating the same thing from the beginning to the end of the song?.. Why so much curse and swear words?.. And so on and so forth.. And the interesting part is, these latter set of artists are the ones who get more airplay on radio and TV.. Isn't that wonderful?.. *Chuckles*

The painful part is when you watch the interviews of these artists, they claim Nigerians and Africans just wanna dance, indirectly saying Africans don't value content,that we are not lyrically cautious nor conscious nor intelligent,and that we are all about the beat and just want something to nod our heads too..  I say this is an insult on Nigerians and Africans as a whole.. 

We all know music is life,and are created for different moods.. You can be singing about love or hate, I can be singing about thug life or religion, the next artist could be singing about money and luxury..but the lyrical composition,content and delivery of these messages is what matters.. It should make SENSE..,because the way it is today,every Tom,Dick and Harry feel they can make a song because they don't see what is so special in it anymore.." Ooh!.. It's simple,just get high and go say whatever you like on the mic!"

I for one believe it's high time we put our African-Nigerian artist in-check,in-line,on their feet and on their toes..They must realise that we are not just interested in dancing, but in what they have to say.. The future of our generation and the next depends on it.,and which is why what you are about to read is the key to curbing so much indecency,and laziness of our musical artists, not to despise them but to encourage them to put in more work in the music they do..,because, there is a saying that "Music is the food to the soul".. So tell me, what are you feeding your soul?..

Tupac's Prison Bible Can Be Yours For $54k

The Bible that Tupac read while in Clinton Correctional Facility is up for sale for $54,000 on memorabilia siteMoments In Time.

The West Coast legend signed his name in the holy book along with his inmate number from the time spent at the maximum security prison in 1995 for rape charges. He gave the prison a shoutout on “Hail Mary” when he rapped “To my homeboys in Clinton Max doing their bid / Raise hell to this real shit and feel this.”

According to TMZ, a member of Tupac’s family handed over the precious item to be sold, though the estate is not behind the sale.

Tupac’s estate has previously criticized the commercial sale of the icon’s property, even threatening legal actionafter a lyric sheet for “Catchin’ Feelings” went up for sale. So far, no objection to the sale of the Bible.

Drake Breaks Micheal Jackson's 32-Year Record For Most American Music Award Nominations

LOS ANGELES, CA – Since the top of the year, Drake has been breaking records left and right with no signs of slowing down as he dethrones Michael Jackson’s American Music Award record for the most nominations.

The King of Pop previously held the mark with 11 nods in 1984 for Thrillerand his popular classics “Beat It” and “Billie Jean” and he won all 11 of the awards.

Wiz Khalifa Set To Drop 'BASH' Clothing Line

Wiz Khalifa is prepping to release a clothing line in honor of his son Sebastian. The line, BASH, is a collaboration between Wiz and the Los Angeles based clothing company Junk Food Clothing.

“All the designs are based around Sebastian — all of his hobbies and the things that he’s into. I just really wanted it to feel personal to him, so when he sees it, he gets excited,” the Pittsburgh rapper says. “He’s 3 years old, so he might not understand the concept of having his own clothing line. But the fact that all of his favorite things are all over his clothes, it makes him feel special; it makes him entertained by what he’s wearing.”

Wiz went on to say the line will include Sebastian inspired T-shirts, Jackets, and Sweaters for Men and Boys. Prices are looking like they will range from $35 to $50 for the children’s styles and $45 to $80 for the men’s designs.

Kanye West spent part of his weekend going on a Twitter rant about how streaming services battling each other is hurting music way more than helping it. Ye’s rant was the following:

“This Tidal Apple beef is fucking up the music game,” he wrote in a series of tweets. “I need Tim Cook Jay Z Dez Jimmy Larry me and Drake Scooter on the phone or in a room this week!!! Fuck all this dick swinging contest.
