Pharrell & Robin Thicke Earned More Than $5Million Each For "Blurred Lines," Lawsuit Claims

The success of "Blurred Lines" spans much further than Billboard charts.
Attorneys involved in the lawsuit concerning the 2013 record and its copyright infringement of Marvin Gaye's "Got To Give It Up" claim the song has earned $16.6 million.
According to Business Insider, Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke earned more than $5 million each off the song, while T.I. has earned over $700,000.
The remainder of the profits –roughly $5.9 million – has been split between Interscope Records, Universal Music Group and Star Trak Entertainment.
Gaye's children Nona, Frankie and Marvin III allege that "Blurred Lines" and Gaye's "Got to Give It Up" are so similar that the family is owed a large percentage of the track's earnings.
Hearings have been taking place since February in a federal courtroom in downtown Los Angeles.
If the court rules in favor of the Gaye family, they would be entitled to both "mechanical royalties" and to "performance rights" from the song.

DJ Khaled Slapped With Huge Lawsuit By Jeweler

DJ Khaled loves to talk about his jewelry, but apparently he doesn’t like to pay for it after new reports claim he has been hit with a lawsuit by a New York jeweler. The new lawsuit claims Khaled was sent more than $100,000 worth of jewelry to check out, and was suppose to either pay for it or send it back depending on if he liked it. Khaled allegedly did neither.
“Rafaello & Company says it had a written agreement with Khaled that gave him 15 days to check out any jewelry the company sent him. The deal was … if he liked the goods, he would pay — and if not, send ‘em back. But in the lawsuit, R&C says Khaled did neither — keeping the watches, chain, earrings and ring … and never paid a dime for them when he was billed.” (TMZ)

Tyga's Management Wants Him To Get Rid Of Kylie Jenner ?

Tyga recently said he was not dating 17-year-old, Kylie Jenner, but Kanye West cleared the air in a recent interview and revealed the two are definitely “in love.” Now reports claim Tyga’s management is wanting him to get rid of the reality star before his career gets ruined.
RadarOnline reports:
“”Jenner, 17, has been “crying all week,” an insider told Radar. “She is afraid that Tyga is going to break-up with her.”
And it’s with good reason, according to the source. “Tyga’s advisers have told him to not be spotted out in public with Kylie doing anything romantic, including holding hands, or kissing,” the source said. “Tyga has tried to reassure Kylie that they are solid, but she has her doubts.”
Indeed, Tyga, 25, told Power 105.1 Tuesday that he’s not involved with Kylie, after their alleged hook-up triggered a brutal war of words between Khloe Kardashian and Amber Rose, with Rose calling her a “baby.”
By Friday, he had changed his tune, posting an instagram pic of Kylie.
And that same day, Kanye West insisted on Power 105.1 that the couple were “in love,” and that he had “no problem” with the age difference.
Meanwhile, Jenner continues to spend “most of her nights at Tyga’s house,” the source said. “They are absolutely living together.”
But according to the source, his team does not approve.”
